ERA made a significant appearance at MILIPOL 2026 in Qatar

ERA (a member of OMNIPOL Group) has become remarkable part of the visible Czech expertise and innovation in defence field, represented on the important international stage: trade fair Milipol in Doha, Qatar. ERA team introduced to foreign delegations the unique solutions for Air Defence and Electronic Warfare by ERA including several novelties, namely its combat proven mid-range Passive ESM Tracker VERA-NG and Over the Horizon long-range passive surveillance system PLESS.

Representative of ERA business development had a pleasure to meet numerous business partners of Middle East and some Czech state officials. Among others he welcomed at ERA stand H. E. Marta Hušková, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the State of Qatar, Petr Kubálek, the Economy and Trade Counsellor at the Embassy in Doha, and Filip Říha, the Director General at the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.

The 30th anniversary edition of prestigious international event dedicated to defence and security solutions has brought together more than 270 exhibitors from around the world, several Czech companies among them.

ERA participated in the DroneShield 2026 exercise, which focused on the use of drones and protection against them

ERA experts participated in an international experimental exercise orgnized by the Czech Armed Forces called DroneShield 2026. The exercise was held under the auspices of the NATO DIANA program.

Soldiers and representatives of Czech and foreign industrial companies tested the possibilities of using Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS systems for defense against them. ERA together with its subsidiaries R-SYS and EOS Applications engaged in an intensive marathon of testing new technologies under conditions close to the real battlefield.

R-SYS introduced a system called DOMINUS X, a Command and Control system which formed the backbone of the entire tested solution, integrating various types of sensors (radar, EO/IR, tags, MLAT, ADS-B) plus connecting them to ATM/ATC systems. The aim was to demonstrate the speed and agility of integrating third-party sensors and their effective use in a variety of tasks.

EOS Applications has demonstrated a solution called THANEOS, which adds drone´s detection, classification and tracking functionality to “simple” camera systems. The presented systems are part of the complex C-UAS solution of ERA sister company OMNIPOL Defence, which ERA cooperates with in OMNIPOL Group.

Last month ERA (a member of OMNIPOL group) took part in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) exercise EW LIVE 2026 in Tartu, Estonia, the one-of-a-kind event dedicated to EW community. ERA team presented the comprehensive solution ”ERA SHIELD” including its unique and even combat proven passive surveillance sensors and several novelties. As a highlight ERA has launched its new product EW-DEC (Electromagnetic Warfare Radar Decoy) for deception of adversary.

Within official launch ceremony of EW-DEC product ERA team welcomed H. E. Zdenek Beranek, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Estonia, who has become a godfather of the newborn. The decoy EW-DEC was exhibited in situ and dragged attention of incoming visitors to ERA exhibition spot. ERA experts explained them that EW-DEC serves as a configurable decoy emitting radar signals that resemble the behaviour of real devices for deception in EW domain, attracting an adversary and thus protecting one’s assets.

Apart of introducing the appraised novelty ERA team worked tirelessly to explain complex “ERA Shield” solutions to dozens of foreign delegations. And not only explain, show the results of the surveillance and reconnaissance systems live and in real time. ERA presented its proven passive sensors PET VERA-NG and Over the Horizon system PLESS and related information systems: data mining tool for management of ESM databases EW-EDMT and ESM/ELINT simulator for training called EW-SIM.

The visitors of an improvised Life Demo studio at the Tartu airfield have been also curious about other newcomers to ERA portfolio in R&D progress: EW-BOX for automated RAW/IQ data processing and Theosight OSINT analysis tool introduced by ERA subsidiary EOS Applications.

EW Live has been built around seeing capabilities in action, bringing the right people together and creating an environment where real cooperation can begin. In 2,5 days’ time frame it offered 540 demos for participants from 35 countries.
